QRators in Action: Global Protection Corp. QR Code on FitKits Hits 14,000+ Scans

QRators in Action is a series featuring success stories from our clients who use Quick Response (QR) codes to solve real-world challenges.

In the sexual health industry, Global Protection Corp. QR codes are helping thousands of people find the right fit.

The Global Protection Corp. is a Massachusetts-based sexual health brand that uses a QR code generator to turn a simple sizing tool into a source of educational and data-driven content.

The team placed QR codes on their promotional materials and on their MyONE FitKit, a pocket-sized measuring card included in every MyONE package.

The result was over 14,500 scans from people engaging with the brand, plus a clear view of which events, programs, and materials drove the most interest.

The brand behind 52 condom sizes

Founded by its current CEO, Davin Wedel, Global Protection Corp. manufactures and distributes sexual health supplies worldwide.

Its product range covers condoms, lubricants, and oral dams, along with educational materials for schools and community partners. The company manufactures its own brands, including ONE® Condoms and Atlas. It also distributes products to bands through its One On Stage program.

Global Protection Corp. created the MyONE custom-fit condom line, which comes in 52 sizes across 10 lengths and 9 girths.

Aside from that, the brand's community programs complement its products, bringing sexual health education directly to the people who need it:

  • Project Condom: Condom fashion shows that turn sexual health into a creative, campus-wide conversation.
  • ONE On Stage: A partnership with hundreds of bands that brings free condoms and education to live music events.
  • Team ONE: An outreach program built with sports clubs, helping teams talk about sexual health in a familiar setting.
  • College ambassador program: Trained students who hand out free condoms on campus and talk to their peers about safer sex.

All of these programs were created to continue their goal of innovating, educating, and engaging with their audience to make safer sex practices an ingrained habit.

Getting flyers and samples to speak for themselves

Currently, Global Protection Corp. hands out thousands of sample packs and FitKits at college events, concerts, and booths.

The challenge was knowing which events actually sparked interest, and finding a quick way to collect contact details from busy booth crowds for giveaways and follow-ups.

The FitKit had its own hurdle. Its small measuring card had little room to explain how to measure length and girth, then combine them into a size code like 45C.

By adding a Global Protection Corp QR code to the FitKit samples, people were sent straight to the sizing guide, letting them order a sample kit with a simple scan.

Meanwhile, a QR code on posters and handouts enabled visitors to enter booth giveaways in seconds, while the team tracked which events and programs drove the most scans.

How Global Protection QR codes turned FitKit samples into 14,500 scans

We had an opportunity to speak with Milla Impola, Director of Communications & Community Marketing at Global Protection Corp., to learn more about how the company uses QR codes to educate people, capture leads at events, and track which marketing efforts actually work.

She also walked us through how QR TIGER fits into her team's everyday workflow.

What does Global Protection do?

“The Global Protection Corp. is a manufacturer and distributor of sexual health supplies, including condoms, lubricants, and oral dams. We also create educational materials, work with colleges, run programs like our condom fashion show, and partner with hundreds of bands through ONE On Stage.

We launched the first condom ever enhanced with graphene, which makes it really thin and strong with great heat transfer. We're also known for our MyONE custom-fit line, which offers 52 condom sizes across 10 lengths and 9 girths, to help solve common condom fit problems

By listening to consumer feedback, we make great products that people want to use.”

What challenge led you to QR codes, and how do you use them?

Global protection QR code goal

“One challenge was collecting emails at events for giveaways. At a booth of 50, 100, or 600 people, a QR code is the easiest way to get people's contact information.

Another was connecting people to our website. Someone gets a Flex sample kit at an event, tries it, likes it, and the QR code gives them a way to purchase the product and learn more. We can also see which events got the most scans.

Then there's the FitKit, our measuring tool. Once someone finds their size, such as 45C or 64M, the QR code takes them either to buy their sample kit or to learn more about the measuring process.

Education is a big goal for us. Our college ambassador, Team ONE, and ONE On Stage programs all receive handouts with QR codes. Through them, we can see which events and programs people scan from, down to the city level.”

What changed after using QR codes?

“We've been most pleased with being able to track our marketing efforts, from sample packs to the FitKit. Scan data shows us which types of campaigns people are most likely to scan.

We also review the pages our code links to after 2, 3, or 6 months. Sometimes we add questionnaires on the website to check that people are getting what they hoped to get when they scanned.”

What did the campaign data teach you?

“Even we were surprised at how many people get the FitKit and then scan for more information. Most people think condoms come in one size, or regular and extra large, so that tells us a lot of people still have questions.

Visitors also brought new questions, such as which side to measure if you're curved or where to measure girth if the thickness varies. We answer those in our FAQ, blog posts, and on social media.”

What results can you share?

“The QR code on the FitKit alone has been scanned over 14,500 times. That's 14,500 people looking for more information about condom fit.”

Where else could QR codes fit in your business?

“We'd like to put them on retail product packages, not just sample packets. We're also exploring QR codes on discount materials to track both scans and whether someone uses the promo code on our website.”

Does Global Protection handle its own packaging?

“Yes. We manufacture our own brands, like ONE Condoms and Atlas, distribute other brands, and handle all our own packaging.

A retail store isn't going to carry 52 sizes, but one of our snug sizes is at CVS stores in the United States. Every MyONE package includes the FitKit with the QR code, so if the size you tried isn't right, it brings you to our website to find an even more customized fit.”

What would you recommend to brands facing a similar challenge?

“Think about how you do marketing and where QR codes can help. Seeing how many people scan and where makes it an additional tool to tell which marketing efforts are successful, especially when you're handing out materials at events.

QR codes also help with email sign-ups. With our spin-the-wheel giveaway, multiple people can scan and enter their emails while they wait in line, and the form can share interesting facts about your brand.”

How did you discover QR TIGER? Which features helped you the most in running your campaigns?

“We were looking for QR code platforms, and it came up. Between the cost and how powerful it is, we said this is a no-brainer.

The dynamic QR code lets you change the URL at any time, which helps when we need to update a link.

Then there's the analytics. We've randomly found our FitKit scanned in Malaysia or Finland, so it's very cool to see not only the scans but also where they're being scanned from.

The platform is also very easy to use. If the person responsible is out of the office, someone else can easily pick it up. It's all tracked in there, and if you lose your QR code, you can just download it again.

It's a really wonderful platform.”

What Global Protection’s QR codes prove about measurable outreach

The Global Protection Corp QR code shows that a QR code doesn't need much space to make an impact. The code on that pocket-sized card has drawn over 14,500 scans, each one from someone looking for a better fit.

Those scans gave its marketing team a clear view of which events, programs, and materials sparked interest, down to the city. The questions visitors brought up now shape the brand's FAQ, blog posts, and social posts, while on-site questionnaires ensure that each page still gives people what they came for.

According to Impola, the team plans to bring QR codes to retail packaging and pair them with promo codes to match scans with discount code use on its website.

For brands that rely on samples, events, and in-person outreach, the takeaway is simple. QR codes help make marketing and educational assets a touchpoint they can track, update, and learn from long after the event ends.
