How to Set Up Your Own Domain or Short URL for Dynamic QR Codes (White label)

Most dynamic QR code generators available online use their own link shortener. This means, if a user scans they might often first see the domain of the QR code software that he is using.
With QR TIGER QR code generator, you can choose to add your own domain and use the software as your own known as white labeling.
There are many different benefits to using your own domain:
A. Branding - QR code white labeling allow users can see your brand when they scan a QR code, this helps in your branding and marketing campaign and it's much easier for users to click on the URL.
B. Editable - You can still redirect the URL of your domain to any other URL yourself. Just go over to your QR TIGER QR code generator dashboard and update it.
To set up your own domain, follow these steps:
Step 1: First, go to the service center or Cpanel of "the hosting of your domain" ( =where you bought your domain name)
Step 2: Create a sub-domain such as "qr.yourdomain.tld"
(.tld stands for your domain extension as .com, .org, .net, .fr, .cn, ..... ) so make sure to put the correct extension of your domain. Example: qr.giftlips.com
We automatically setup SSL for the subdomain so you don't need to set it up on your end. If you add your own SSL certificate, your short URL will not work.
Step 3: Update the DNS settings of this sub-domain. Set type to "CNAME" and place "qr1.be" in the CNAME value.
Or add a new CNAME record and delete the old A record.
Step 5: Choose the "Your own domain” option from the menu above.
Step 6: Enter your sub-domain (such as "qr.yourdomain.tld") in the short URL field and verify.
Note that it may take up to 24 hours before all worldwide DNS servers are updated and for our system to recognize the changes.
We automatically add https:// prefix to the domain you entered, so there is no need to add https:// in the box.
We add the SSL to the subdomain to make this work, so there is no need for you to setup SSL on your end. If you add your own SSL certificate, your short URL will not work.
Go ahead and try to use your own domain on your generated QR codes with QR TIGER, a QR code generator for white labeling QR codes.
